moral certainty
The founding fathers understood that for democracy to survive, electoral processes must "minimize tumult and disorder"; "oppose cabal intrigue and corruption", and "afford moral certainty" . Unfortunately, US elections in the 21st century are increasingly characterized by these very abuses as a result of what we might call an election-industrial complex. (more)
